Early!
I know this is a very early update for me but I was sitting here thinking about some of this so I decided just write this down. Some of this is not even writing related.
I started working at old folk’s home about five months ago and have managed to get to know one resident named Bob. Bob has many medical issues but recently something happened that kind of gotten to me. After talking to him everyday he managed to forget who I am. This hurt on many levels for me, one of which struck a fear I did not even know I had. Not only am I afraid of being useless one day but now, I have to confront the fear of being forgotten. I am not sure where else to go with this so there it is. With this revelation into another issue that I have, I end up wondering what to do and how to deal with it.
Writing wise I have been working on chapter nine, added a few hundred words and thinking about my future edits for this project. I think I am going to have to go back and add a huge amount of detail and description to my world and characters because I have already started adding it into this chapter.

A whole hour late
First time in awhile I am able to say that I have worked on the book. I have done some more work in chapter nine, which I have now realized that I need to add much more description into my work. I really enjoy Dean Koontz as an author and he puts a lot of description in his work, almost to a fault. I love this about his work and I am going to try to add it into my own writing.
So outlining is going well, writing is going well, and groundwork on the next novel is going well. I have also decided these last few days that with each book, as incentive to finish, I will have a belt buckle made with the title in it. Some day I would love to have more then 20 in total.

Sick day
So no new work has really been done this week. I was hoping to get some done today but I ended up feeling really sick all day, up until now. I will be working on typing some more out after I post this so I may update this post later. I really hope to get some work done but I am not hoping for a whole lot.
Anyway, I am now off to work on the novel! Catch you all later!
*Edit: 10k+ words*

Friday update
Another update! Almost on the right day too!
Nothing much to report other then I have been working on outlining the rest of the book, which has not gotten me very far. I might get four or five chapters out of the outline but I am going to need a lot more. I also decided how I was going to direct the rest of the book and I think I am going to be very pleased.
*Edit* Check out the free audiobook "Brave Men Run" on itunes

Late!
After having a blog up on time, I ended up not updating for a while and it is late on top of that. I went and typed out a lot of chapter six and then the program shut down and I lost it all. Therefore, I am working on finishing that as well as writing out chapter nine. After nine is down I am going to be taking some time in outlining the rest of the book so I know where I am going. I know that sounds crazy but I am a little lost in what to do next which is not a good sign. I am also told that if I don’t work on an outline I will have all of my fluids drained from my body. Really, what are friends for?
Nation Novel Writing Month is in November and congratulations to the people who have won this year. Next year I will be joining with the point of finishing the 50,000-word deadline in the month of November. I have a couple of guys who will be working on it will me. One novel is a post-apocalyptic war novel, another is a superhero story (mine), a zombie survival story and one I am not quite sure of yet but it is exciting either way to have such a diverse group helping each other.

An update on time!
An update on time! So today, I did not do as much as I wanted for a couple reasons. I ended up getting hurt Sunday morning when I decided to go surfing, who would have thought that a wave could throw you hard enough to hit the ocean floor and make the world spin. I know right? I also worked on cleaning the house for Aaronne, went to bible study, and watched people punch each other in the face (UFC 106). I was going to start playing Tales of Vesperia but instead decided that I should finish chapter eight and write my blog. As Perry Dawcy says, "you've got to have discipline."

Cheater blog post!

You better be working on the comic! lol
also you have completely got me addicted to Scott sigler... and to staying up late...despite the fact that i have to get up at 6:30
Yeah, well, I actually have been doing a lot of reading. I need that creative boost. Monday will be the comic, finish chapter 8, work on typing out what I had written. It is going to be a busy week. I am also going to start my gym membership that day so we will see what happens.

Early Weds.
All right so it is going to be an early update this week, 1:13ish in the morning. So the big thing to say this week is that I am going to be finishing chapter 8 and then taking a little break. This does not mean that I am actually setting the novel down though. I am working on typing chapter 6 and I will be working on outlining a big section of Americoma. On top of this, I will be working on the comic with Judah Lamey.
I also need to refill my creative juices so I bought "The Regulators" by Richard Bachman and "Everything's Eventual" by Stephan King. For those of you who read this it is good to note that Richard is actually Stephan's other pen name.

Sorry!!!!
So I did not update, at all, this week due to some personal reasons and tomorrow (Friday) I will be having company so I will not have much time to blog then either so I am just going to do it now.
Writing has been tough with my work schedule lately. I have been very busy there and I have not been able to do much on my breaks. My laptop has been acting funky lately so I have not been doing much at home on it.
So yeah, catch you all later. I have stuff to do before I get some sleep.

End of the week update
So far, I have reached 1093 in chapter 7... That is right! Chapter 7 baby! OK I am done talking like a fool for now. I am just about to reach my goal for the rest of the year already. As of a right now, I only need about 900 words. I am just about to introduce a character that I had once cut from the story but am now rather enjoying so I may even make him last longer then I originally wanted him to.
Abbn Harrison is introduced in the last chapter and hopefully other people like him as much as I do and the newest character to the story is Edward, which is who I mentioned above as being the person that I had cut.
On a side note, I have been listening to a new podcast, which is Morevi by Tee Morris, and I highly recommend if you like historical/fantasy fiction. Check him out at Teemorris.com

Big update
OK so I have finished typing out ch.5 and have sent it off for it's first round of editing. I know that it is advised that I should not do things this way but it is a great way for me to be accountable. 1-5 will be going to Kevin, who is a good friend of mine, and this is his second novel for editing as far as I know. After he is done, I will make some changes and then send it off to Judah from Hoodwink Chronicles for his ideas for edits. Finally, it will be given to my wife for her to go over grammatical and typing errors.
Huge week in writing for me overall. I have written over 2600 words in the last 3 days, stopping at over 2000 words for chapter 6 ("stopping" not "done") and a lot of added and dropped sections of ch. 5.
Well that is all I have for you today and hope to catch you all later!

A big week...
So it has been a big week here in at the Livingston home. We have had three guests in the house. Judah, a friend from Elim (my old college) and two of my in-laws are here. Therefore, that is why I have not been updating as much and I honestly do not have much to add in general.
I just finished chapter 5, which I am not sure if I am happy with and I have started to work hard on my comics again which is nice. So West Street Warriors will be revived and there will be some cross over work with Judah's comic "The hoodwink Chronicles" so look for that in the future.

Update on time!
Hey, I finally get a blog in on the day I am suppose to! I have not done any writing as of right now (Monday) but I might do some more before bed. I managed to write a lot on Sunday, a total of 732 words on both the second chapter four draft and new stuff on chapter five. Overall a big couple of weeks for writing and I may have to raise my weekly word count. I may change it to 725 or 1000 words a week... I guess we will have to wait and see.

Wednesday.... yeah no
Yet again, I have not slept yet so this is Wednesday to me still. I did a lot of writing today... well a lot for me anyways. I have five hundred words a week minimum, which goes from Wednesday to Sunday. Therefore, in one day, I got that minimum and I am pretty happy where things are going.
So some of chapter 4 is done, edits being done to the descriptions for a few characters in chapter 1, I'm getting some edits from chapter two back... its a big week. A friend of mine, Judah, will be visiting next week so writing may slow down.
Side Note: Check out Heart of the Ronin if you get the chance. A free audio book version can be found on ITUNES or Zune marketplace.

Monday... not really
Well technically this is a Tuesday update but since I have not gone to bed yet so it is still Monday for me.
Not any writing the last two days but I did some outlining and a bit of writing for chapter four. The biggest thing I plan on getting done the next few days is finishing the drawing I have for Venus, which is the other guide for the main character, and changing/adding to the descriptions to them in chapter one.
Side Note: Dropped Levitation chronicles due to it making Christians look worse then they really are.

Friday..... oh boy
This was an interesting day to say the least. I worked some more on the book, which is going well. I finished the third chapter but did not cover as much as I wanted to. It ended at what had planned to be the 1/3 waypoint but what can you do right? Sometimes the book takes a life of its own and the only thing you can do it go with it.
The down side to writing so much it that it feels like my brain has turned to mush. I am constantly forgetting things and I would lose my head if it was attached... seriously, I would. I enjoy writing but for some reason after getting to 4507 words into the book and a day off starts to look really good. Yes people that’s right... I did say that I was at 4507 which is somewhat scary due to the third chapter is roughly 1900 words.
Side notes:
While finishing this chapter is, I was listening to the Joystiq podcast which if you enjoy video games I would highly recommend. I have been also listening to the Leviathan Chronicles, which is a free audiobook that is good, a few flaws but production value is really high.

So I was not planning to update today but I am rather excited about my progress as of today with chapter 3. I start out writing down in my notebook and then typing them out later on my laptop. At the placee I’m at with transferring the information over should be about 798 words which doesn’t sound like a whole lot but when I typed it out I added and is now at 1319 words and still going. This makes it the longest chapter so far and I am pushing 4000 words overall which should be done by this Sunday.
The plan in the future I will be trying to update Mon., Wed. and Fri. every week until this is finished and then we will have to see. So I might see you tomorrow it all depends on how much I write or add to the work in progress
For inspiration, I normally listen to pod cast. I recommend, “I should be writing” done by Mur Lafferty and tonight I played “Bloodcast” by Scott Sigler and I will have the links below.

Second in one day
I decided to add a few notes to today... partly to help me judge how I am doing and to let people know exactly where I am.
I just hit over 3,200 words typed tonight. This does not mean that it is all I have written. I have most of the third chapter done but have only typed about a forth of that right now.
This is going to be a big chapter; I have over 1,000 words written right now and a long way to go. When I go to type out what I have written it also has things added to it. Right now about 300 words have been added or changed.
Bonus! I drew this up for one of the “guides” for the main character! Meet Mana!

Welcome!
For those of you who may not have heard... I decided to write to a book! Normally I am an artist who enjoys webcomics and I got this idea for a comic that was impossible for me to draw. I normally would not say that and to those who know me that might be a shock. I draw some weird stuff...
Americoma set inside of the mind of a comatose man, hit by a car and confronted with a completely new world, with its own set of problems.
I hope that some people find this blog and join me in this new project... I may put a few chapters online here. See you next week with an update.
