Milestone

Well I have been putting off blogging the last couple of days in order to focus on my writing as much as I can. I have been spending several hours a night writing on top of my normal daily word count and I have now reached a new milestone for my novel. I am now 7/10th through the original word count goal. For those who do not remember my first goal was to finish around 50,000 words (similar to my NaNoWriMo goal this November) which means that I am currently at 35,000+

Time to take a break, watch some of “The Stand” and relax before starting back in on writing again.

Oh and this is my new writing buddy! I do not have a name for him yet, any ideas?

  1. Hermes

He is a greek god of many things... including writing. He may just be the good luck charm you need. xD

  2. I am fairly sure that Hermes was a psychopump (helping show the dead to the afterlife)and a messenger of the Gods. I think the Muses were in control of poems and writing... IDK

  3. I just asked him, (he lives in our basement) and he said that he definitely was the one in charge of writing originally, before the Muses took over. However, he said that Loki would be a better name for the plant, and i kind of agree with him....it lacks Cassie's depth...but it does have a ring to it.

  4. Okay, I'll admit that I google searched "greek god of writing" and wrote what it found... but hey, at least I gave it a try. xD

I do, however, like "Loki" ... it goes with the look of the plant (flower?).
Kudos to Judah for finding a better name.
